Dueñas Iturbe, Oriol
On January 26, 1939, Franco's troops entered Barcelona, in one of the last major actions of the Civil War. Oriol Dueñas recounts it in great detail, reviving the events of a few days when, while the columns of national troops were making their way to the city, they seized the Eixample and were greeted by supporters who took to the streets, thousands of Catalans took the road from exile, by road, to France. The book recounts the fall of Barcelona at the hands of the Francoists and also the simultaneous actions that took place in those days, from the bombing of ports in the north of the country to prevent Republican soldiers from embarking to support the last foci of resistance in Valencia. , to the control of the power plants of the Pyrenees that supplied the Catalan capital.
