L'home de la sorra
allò sinistre de Sigmund Freud
Hoffmann, Ernst T. A.
E. T. A. Hoffmann is seen as a pioneer of both Romanticism and fantasy literature. Some of his most famous literary creations are undoubtedly his fantastic tales. The disturbing story of "The Sandman", which tells the story of a young man's obsession with this figure born of the terrors of children's tales, has inspired many artists over the years, from musicians such as Jacques Offenbach to filmmakers. like David Lynch, to writers like Neil Gaiman. Sigmund Freud was also impressed by the story of "The Sandman" and dedicated the famous essay "The Sinister", which we include in the appendix.
