María Broto is a renowned theater actress in her early forties. At the exit of the premiere of Chekhov's Cherry Orchard -his dream representation of her- of her, in which she plays the role of Liuba Andreievna, a man awaits her at the back door of the theater. At first glance, she Maria does not recognize him, but the man insists on explaining who she is and why he has come to look for her. This is how María knows about the sudden death of Teodoro Broto, her father. The unexpected news is accompanied by the offer of this man to return to the town where they lived as children to attend his funeral. But María is not aware of the consequences that this trip to the past can bring and delving too much into the childhood wounds that she still has marked inside her.
