Intempériome
Arias, Xela
"Intempériome", the last book of poems published by Xela Arias in 2003, breaks, from the very title, the linguistic conventions to make a free, exploratory and rebellious use of syntax and voice, examining the territory of existence, love and of death. Through the verses flows the sincerity of an open, naked poet, who breaks the word to inject meaningful meanings and invoke the reader to free herself from alienation. In the words of the poet Iolanda Zúñiga, who addresses Xela Arias on the threshold of the book, "I was tempted to assimilate, without hindrance, the breath of the suburban". This special edition, made on the occasion of the celebration of Galician Literature 2021, consists of a case containing the book of poems Intempériome, a notebook and a CD with the recording of the poems in the voice of Xela Arias accompanied by musicians Pablo Carrera, Macarena Montesinos and Elena Vázquez, under the direction of Fernando Abreu.
