Inquisición, ¿mito o realidad?
lo que no te contaron
Iturralde, Cristián Rodrigo
The Holy Inquisition is a court known more for what has been said about it than for what it has actually been. So everyone seems to "know" that the Inquisition was something execrable, reprehensible, negative, but if someone asked them: why? What was it? When was it? They would probably be in dire straits. Others, those who believe they can answer these questions, when they do, they do it wrong, not because of calculated malevolence, but because they have obtained their meager or profuse knowledge in more popular than appropriate books. And "appropriate" should be understood as something conceived in the clear light of strict scientific rigor and dispassionate air. Finally, these essays have been concerned with offering the reader a light, entertaining and pleasant view of the events, rather than making true history properly. What has been tried here is to offer the reader a solid introduction to the Court of the Holy Inquisition sine ire et studio, gathering for this the most relevant data from the latest investigations, while continuing to resort to evaluations of previous and well-known authorities who have dealt with on this subject, with preference always for those sources not suspicious of sympathy for the Church, Spain or the Inquisition.
