Few histories are as complex as that of the Indian civilization. That is precisely the challenge that historian Eva Borreguero, professor at the Complutense University of Madrid, has set out to overcome in this book. In it, the most outstanding stages of ancient and classical history are examined, and those aspects that illustrate the social, religious and family structure of India are addressed. The author has ordered and selected for the reader the most relevant events of that wonderful past, accompanying them with an analysis of the most outstanding cultural aspects and certain patterns of history in the region.
