Imitación y experiencia

Imitation is one of those fundamental ideas of Western culture that, like that of being, runs through all of European thought from one extreme to the other. To create the appropriate context for understanding, this book, as a preliminary step, recovers a tradition of classical cultural concepts such as model, example, or imitation. Through extensive research, he gathers and orders the vast bibliographic material available to narrate for the first time the history of the exemplarity theory from its origins to the present day, distinguishing between four kinds of imitation and three great cultural stages.
