Imágenes cómicas y festivas de la Grecia clásica

This work is an original and unpublished study on parody, caricature and comedy as cultural rhetoric in ancient Greece. With more than a hundred examples collected from vessels, tablets, bottles or other supports, this work by Álvarez Junco constitutes a window through which we can look at one of the least known and little studied aspects of a part of Greek society: its graphic humor. How did the obscene, the sacred and humor dialogue in ancient Greece? A journey through the configuration of the classical figurative system and the game with its own regulated elements, which will give us the keys to understand what we have inherited and what, inevitably, we have lost from the society from which we come.
