Ilíada

Homero

Taking as a pretext the anger of Achilles, the great Achaean warrior, against Agamemnon, head of the expedition organized to recover the fugitive Helen, the "Iliad" narrates a short period of the Trojan War that has, however, served to to inscribe it indelibly in the imagination and culture of Western man. The origin of the fascination that this work has exerted on readers of all ages comes from its unique epic breath and its characters, in which a string vibrates that identifies them with all men. Conventionally attributed to Homer, the "Iliad" and the "Odyssey" are one of the cornerstones of Western culture.
