The concept of Modern History has had different interpretations throughout the centuries. In "Modern History" the period from the 15th to the 19th centuries is studied, structured in four blocks that propose a rereading of the traditional chronology. In the first place, "The crisis of the structure of Christianity", starting from Italy, as an ancient battlefield between the universal powers of the Papacy and the Empire in the wars of investiture, because the vacuum that both provoke allows them to take place. the cultural, social and political changes of modernity, the decisive importance of its merchants and navigators in overseas expansion and its political centrality, since it was the battlefield on which the powers competed to gain hegemony in Europe. The second part, "The Struggle for the Universalis Monarchy", analyzes and describes the evolution of these premises, the development of the European courts and the complexity that the government of the states is acquiring, the religious division and the compartmentalization of Europe in confessions the scope and effect of European expansion in the world in the way in which America, Africa and Asia are transformed with the contact of Europeans. The third part studies the beginning of the paradigm shift at the end of the seventeenth century, "The rupture of the Universalis Monarchy concept and the search for a political equilibrium", the post-Westphalian system that affects both the internal order of monarchies in its ideal of equilibrium. and its reconfiguration as the creation of the foundations of the modern international system of states. The last six chapters constitute a block marked by the crisis of the Old Regime, a term used to signify a new model of society, the replacement of the "court system" by the paradigm of the "National State." What is situated between the years 1735 and 1820 in which this "Modern History" concludes.
