Historia desconocida de la Edad Media
González Belmonte, Juan
The Middle Ages covers the time span from the beginning of the 5th century to the end of the 15th century. Throughout these centuries, great challenges tested, scourged, and at times ravaged medieval men and women. However, they always ended up overcoming the terrible wars, plagues, famines, crises, revolts and other apocalyptic horsemen that intermittently pursued them for a thousand long years of the Middle Ages. That dark, gloomy and decadent image that the Middle Ages traditionally evokes in the popular imagination, is illuminated as if it were the artistic technique of chiaroscuro by the great achievements that we have inherited from the medieval man such as cities, universities, routes and commercial techniques, great geographical discoveries, unrepeatable and towering Gothic cathedrals, art in all its facets or the printing press itself, the promoter of a generalized literacy. An exciting journey through the most relevant events that took place during the Middle Ages and that show us that this time was much more than what we had been told so far.
