Hijo blanco de la noche

Mesa, J. G.

At the end of the 18th century, the slaves of Haiti decide to use voodoo to rebel against their tyrannical oppressors. This is how a brutal zombie army is born, commanded by powerful sorcerers, which will be the seed of the future voodoo empire. Two centuries later, the armies of a decadent Vatican are called by Pope Fidel II to a crusade that will be known as "The Hammer of God", through which he plans to eradicate the hegemony of voodoo as a religious and political reference in the world. The captain of this mission, Augusto Vidocq, will understand the implications of the pontiff's mission as, on his journey to the small island of Manu, he must face the attacks of zombies and the tricks of the feared bokor sorcerers. Betrayals, shady power plays, espionage and centuries-old secrets will turn a mere foray into Hell on Earth for Vidocq's soldiers, and the quest for glory will turn into a desperate race for survival as the heavens close and the graves open.
