All relationships have a space of intimacy that makes us vulnerable; this book talks about that place. The encounter between the protagonist, Ester Nilsson, and the actor Olof Sten has certainly uneven results: his blind infatuation with her, his narcissistic delight. And although Olof makes it clear to Ester from the beginning that he is married, the truth is that neither he stops Ester's displays of love nor does she assume what is happening. The encounters are followed by calls, misunderstandings to calls, discussions and, again, fantasies of total love. Andersson treats with humor, rigor and a fine cruelty the hopes and lies on which our relationships are sometimes built; lies to others, but above all, lies to ourselves.
