The third round is played against Aoba Josai. Karasuno is playing a very close match, when Sugawara is brought on to replace Kageyama. He is the one who has watched the team play from the sidelines for the longest time and, under his orders, they slowly start to tilt the match in his favor! However, the Karasuno can't find a way to counter the serves of their opponent's ace, Oikawa!
