Hacia una teoría del pop
Fernández Serrato, Juan Carlos
It is often said that pop is the "popular culture" of contemporary societies, something that, at least, is worth examining in a little more detail, avoiding the inertia imposed by Anglo-Saxon theory. That is the task that "Towards a theory of pop" sets itself, proposing, from a critical perspective, a synthesis of the fundamental points that academic reflection has dealt with and proposing an alternative reading of the phenomenon of pop music as the dominant cultural logic of our present. Theoretical reflections are combined in this essay, with the essential historical anchoring, seeking to establish some lines of demarcation that serve the reader to orient himself in the most exciting cultural phenomenon of contemporary aesthetic discourses.
