Guía del Madrid de la Movida
Ordovás, Jesús
Godes, Patricia
Jesús Ordovás and Patricia Godes have produced the first illustrated guide on the Madrid of the Movida, a time they lived in first person, recovering the memory of urban spaces and meeting places of that unrepeatable generation: its bars, its rooms concert, radio stations, record stores, record companies, art galleries ... The guide offers a tour of all the neighborhoods of the capital, from the most central and famous such as Malasaña, Lavapiés or the Barrio de the Letters, to others less known, but just as important, such as Prosperidad, La Elipa, Carabanchel or Vallecas. In each chapter, a protagonist from those years is interviewed who tells us about his relationship with a specific neighborhood and tells us, with anecdotes and curiosities, what places he frequented and what was cooked in those environments. Also included are two very special routes written by two living myths of La Movida: The Almodóvar Route and The Alaska Route. Written with humor and some melancholy, Pedro Almodóvar and Alaska review the places that most marked them during those years. And all this accompanied by an interesting selection of photographs, many of them unpublished, and plans of the different areas.
