Guapa de cara
Reig, Rafael
In a Madrid crossed by canals, when the oil ran out some time ago, a writer of children's stories, Lola Eguíbar, is murdered for no apparent reason. Immediately, the victim observes the crime scene and attends the removal of her body and can even follow the work of the funeral home workers to make her presentable at her funeral. Lola, now incorporeal, decides to investigate her own death, to find out who had an interest in her disappearance. And so, her crazy investigation will lead her to review her life and wonder about the ultimate meaning of her existence. This amusing story, full of brilliant humor and lucid reflections on writing, comes to close Reig's detective series, and together with Gushing Blood and All is Forgiven, it forms the trilogy starring detective Carlos Clot.
