After receiving a strange letter from her newly married cousin, Noemí Taboada heads to High Place, a house in the country in Mexico, not knowing what she will find there. Naomi does not seem to have the gifts of a savior: she is glamorous, more used to attending cocktails than detective tasks. But she is also strong, intelligent and unafraid: not even of her cousin's new husband, a menacing and seductive Englishman; nor of her father, the ancient patriarch who seems fascinated by Naomi; nor of the house, which begins to invade Naomi's dreams with visions of blood and doom. The only friend Naomi will find is the family's youngest son, who also seems to be covering up dark secrets. Because there are many secrets hidden in the walls of High Place, as Naomi will discover when she begins to unearth stories of violence and madness. Captivated by this terrifying and seductive world, Naomi will find it difficult to save her cousin... Or even escape from that enigmatic house.
