Glamourama

Ellis, Bret Easton

In 1990s Manhattan, Victor Ward, a model with sculpted abs and influential friends, is seen and photographed everywhere, even places he's never been and with people he doesn't even know. On the eve of the opening of the coolest nightclub in New York City history, Victor is drawn, gradually and imperceptibly, into a bleak mirror of high society until he finds himself trapped with no safe passage back. But upon returning to the familiar side, he discovers that there was no mirror, no escape route, no other world except this one where hotels implode and planes plummet from the sky.
