Get Back
Beatles
In 1969 the Beatles met at their Apple studios to record a project initially called Get Back, the title of the same name for the song that was to give name to their last published album, and which eventually ended up called Let It Be. For twenty-one days, and without precedent in their trajectory, they surrounded themselves with cameras, tape recorders and photographers who archived their last days as a quartet and documented their daily work, as well as the rehearsal of new and old songs in preparation for their legendary last concert in the roof of the Apple building on January 30, 1969. These sessions gave rise to the album and film Let It Be, released in May 1970, with the group already disbanded, and representing the only moment in the history of the Beatles that were recorded for so long creating music. All photographs and recordings taken exclusively (more than 120 hours) have been in storage for more than 50 years. Now, finally, and after all this time, Get Back reveals, for the first time, the content of those sessions.
