Gabriel Escarrer, mi vida

The trajectory of Gabriel Escarrer, the first hotelier in Spain, constitutes a living history of tourism, from its emergence in the years after the Second World War to the present day. Fate would have this entrepreneur born in one of the cradles of tourism, the island of Mallorca, which, together with his ingenuity and innate instinct for business, created a unique character. As a good Mallorcan, he has always wanted to go unnoticed, despite having rubbed shoulders with kings, international leaders and, especially because of his passion for architecture, with the great masters of this discipline of the 20th and 21st centuries. This book tells in a pleasant and sincere way the memories and experiences of the founder of what is now Meliá Hotels International, and provides the value that, always from humility and being aware of its limitations, hopes to be able to contribute to present and future generations.
