This book is intended to provide up-to-date information on how to assess and improve health-related quality of life in people with fibromyalgia. This task has special relevance and complexity due, firstly, to the heterogeneity and variety of symptoms that a syndrome such as fibromyalgia presents and, secondly, to the large number of possibilities that are offered to us for evaluating the quality of life related to health. Regarding fibromyalgia, say that it is a syndrome whose symptoms vary greatly from one person to another, usually presenting chronic pain as a common factor, but may or may not present associated symptoms: rigidity, depressive feelings, insomnia, obesity, poor physical condition, cognitive problems, irritable colon, etc. Due to the above, generalization becomes extremely problematic, so when we speak of women affected with fibromyalgia we are referring to a large and heterogeneous group that, despite having been diagnosed with the same syndrome, have unique characteristics in Regarding the presence and intensity of different symptoms.
