Based on the ideas of Valter Tauli, this book examines the current situation of Basque, but from an unusual perspective. According to the Estonian linguist, the importance of linguistic efficiency has not been sufficiently highlighted. And it is not true that all languages have achieved the same communicative competence in all its aspects: syntax, morphology, vocabulary, phonology, etc. In other words, languages have obvious limits, although these limits can be overcome, because speakers, on their own, have a natural tendency to develop simple and effective language. On the other hand, also in Tauli's opinion, the intervention of institutions may be convenient with respect to the corpus, if it is considered that language has limits in some aspects. The goal would not be correctness, but ease and communicative ability.For this book we found four writers: Xabier Amuriza, Iñigo Lamarca and two other linguists, Haitao Liu and Jesús Rubio. Although they all have personal ideas, they claim similar proposals: for example, the need to simplify verbs and develop a more efficient syntax, since these two conditions are mandatory to obtain a competent language.
