Algorithms and data structures are the basic tools every programmer needs to build applications that solve problems. Knowing one (or several) programming languages ??is not enough. The data structures will allow you to organize the information that the program manages, seeking the greatest efficiency in space or time, according to the needs of your application. On the other hand, algorithms define the steps required to solve a problem. In this work we will combine the learning of both parts. On the one hand, we will learn the most common data structures, their pros and cons. With these bricks you can build the structures you need in your projects. On the other hand, we will learn the basic tools for the elaboration of algorithms and we will see a few well-known examples to familiarize ourselves with them and thus define the own algorithms that your project requires. All this is illustrated with a large number of examples, solved exercises and practical projects, whose code will be accessible to the reader. Knowing and mastering data structures and algorithms is essential to advance your career in software development.
