Estirant el fil de les paraules
Castellet, Manuel
Llorenç, a boy who turns fourteen in 1952, receives from his mother a box with all the letters that her husband had written to her during the war, from the Bossa de Bielsa and the Front de l'Ebre; also, from the concentration camp in Bilbao, after the war. Llorenç grows up at school and reading the letters of this man, whom he does not remember ever seeing, and, little by little, he gets to know him, admires him and ends up loving him. But no one knows what became of him after May 1939. Had he died? Had he fled to France? Had he left with another woman? His search intensifies when, one day, a letter arrives at his home from the Military Court of Cassation, addressed to his father.
