Estado del malestar
Premio Brage 2019
Lykke, Nina
Elin is a very professional and competent doctor, but she is tired of being good, of being an exemplary wife and mother, of caring for patients who self-diagnose on Google and seek cures for imaginary ills. She drinks almost a bottle a day of the most expensive wine and watches TV series, while her husband Axel signs up for one ski race after another. Until one day, by mistake, Elin sends a friend request to Bjørn, her boyfriend from her youth, turning everything upside down. Cornered by her dilemmas, Elin leaves her house and settles in to live in her office. She knows that at some point she will have to come out of her den and face reality, but she remains there in a kind of catatonic state. From a corner she is questioned by the plastic skeleton Tore, a scathing and mocking voice that points out the truths that she does not dare to admit.
