Remedios and her partner Antonia know first-hand the intricacies of the pharmacy. Both have worn the white coat for years (that is why it no longer looks so white) and they fight together against the neighborhood prescription commands, but, despite sharing a vocation, their vision of what is cooked on that side of the counter is very different. So when a new trainee comes to the pharmacy, each of these apothecary masters will show her a different take on the paradise (or hell) they live in, among boxes of drugs, leaflets, and prescriptions. Remedios' idealistic gaze will contrast with Antonia's acid humor, and in this way they will teach her the tricks that every good pharmacist should know, from being patient to fighting those who ask for antibiotics without a prescription and, of course, to keeping the knife sharp .
