At a time when post-war misery persisted, twin girls came into the world who were like two mirrors; they did not resemble each other at all. Francesca was dark-skinned, dark-skinned, skinny, and thin. Joana had blond hair, blue eyes, and a light complexion all over her body that was envied by the few friends they had. Despite the family's hardships, they were in a rural environment that could accompany them and life still had to present some charitable soul to them.
