escritos sobre arte y literatura

Proust, Marcel
Armiño, Mauro (ed.)

The biography does not say or explain anything about the work of an author. This theory -which Marcel Proust vehemently defended in an essay with the critic Sainte-Beuve, among other texts- could well be valid, if we did not think that the biography of a writer is also all the themes, motives and interests for which worried. And in the case of the author of In search of lost time this is more than evident. Painting, music and literature, mundane themes such as "fashion", exhibitions and cathedrals, writers and Parisian salons... Everything is part of his great fictional cycle, but also -as this resounding compilation of writings demonstrates- of the rest of his work and his thought.
