As Román Casas wanted to be a real chef, he asked his parents for a cooking course for his tenth birthday, which coincides with the Day of the Dead, the feast of the dead. On that special day he received a megashock: a coffin accompanied by an envelope containing the instructions to activate Escarlatina, a cook who died in the 19th century and who is never separated from Lady Horreur, a creepy rogue with a French accent. On board the bus of the dead, the three new friends and Dodoto the cat travel to the Underworld, where the dead live under the orders of Amanito, the tyrant who rules the Underworld. A story of macabre humour that awakens the reader's appetite and curiosity for the world of cooking.
