A violent avalanche in one of the most dangerous peaks of the Himalayas ends the lives of the members of an expedition. Only Jack Furness is saved, whom the snow has dragged into a huge cavity in the mountain. There he discovers a strange hominid skull that he decides to take as a souvenir. Back home, he gives it to Stella Swift, a paleoanthropologist at the University of California, who immediately realizes that it is a revolutionary find. But it is not enough to study those bones. The time has come to travel to the Himalayas to find more evidence that will amaze the world.
