Barcelona, ??1952. Pachi Saura has moved to the city more than a year ago to study at the School of Fine Arts. Settled in a lair near the Plaza Real, he tries to build the life he has dreamed away from family dictations. In the first months he shares the pleasure of existence and music, one of his great hobbies, with some girls in the neighborhood who make him a model in exchange for little money. Through his gaze he transforms the misery that surrounds him into small treasures, into an almost obsessive search for beauty. But two women will forever mark their destiny: Neus, married in gratitude, whom Pachi rescues from the Civil Guard during the general strike of March 12, 1951. And Angels, the daughter of an editor exiled to France, intelligent and of androgynous beauty for which he feels an attraction that goes far beyond the drive between the sexes. A deep secret unites them, but it will take many years for the truth to find them and discover their answer.
