En verano duele más
Sánchez, Manuel Gerardo
Shortly after moving to her native Beirut, Camille receives news: her father is dying of pulmonary emphysema. The disease pushes him to return to the place he hates the most in the world: Punta de Mata, a town in eastern Venezuela where his parents emigrated to flee the ravages of the civil war in Lebanon. In that place, tyrannized by the inclemency of the sun and by machismo as a social order, he soon learned that violence, hidden in jokes and jokes, threatened his identity.
