In the mountains of madness describes the expedition of a group of scientists to Antarctica with the purpose of carrying out a series of observations and studies. At a certain moment, they find the fossil remains of extraordinarily evolved beings that cannot be classified as animals or plants, and they discover a mountain range higher than the Himalayas that houses some unusual buildings on its summit. So, the scientists at the base camp are excited by the discovery and decide to go meet their companions. However, a storm interrupts the transmission, delaying the departure and arrival of the second group. This will be the beginning of a dizzying odyssey in which mystery, madness and death will be intertwined.
