En busca del fuego
... y otras historias curiosas de la Antigüedad
Cabezas, José Antonio
Knowing the part of History that covers from Prehistory to Antiquity has been one of the great challenges that historians have faced since the 19th century. Developing this work has required, and still requires, as these pages demonstrate, a great effort on the part of the different historical disciplines, and there are many questions that still arise: When did you begin to control fire? How were paleolithic cave paintings made? Why did agriculture and livestock begin in the Neolithic? Archeology has helped unearth cities like Babylon, palaces like Darius I, temples like Jerusalem, libraries like Ashurbanipal or tombs like Etruscans, and, likewise, disused languages and scriptures like the hieroglyph or interpret ancient texts such as those of Strabo.
