Ginger. 2nd half century II d. With almost 25 years, Minicia suffers the rejection of her father, Lucio Minicio Natal Cuadroni Ver, governor of proconsular Africa. The reason for her: she had been the lover of Theseus, the slave who mortified and marked the life of her father since they were children, before dying fighting, precisely, against Minicius. Added to the affront is that Minicia had a son with Theseus, who she got rid of when she learned the true identity of his lover. Disconcerted by her father's rejection, and while she continues with her life (her passion for horses and chariot racing, reading and writing, her friendship with the Emperor Marcus Aurelius and the Empress Faustina, the curious relationship with her husband Cneu, the complicity with his slave Erasmius, the passionate understanding with the centurion Lucio Cecilio Optat), Minicia will try to regain the esteem of her father and will undertake a long investigation to find who, from the line of Theseus, seeks revenge by threatening his life and that of the entire empire.
