Els meus dies a la llibreria Morisaki

Yagisawa, Satoshi

The neighborhood of bookstores and publishers, paradise for readers. A quiet corner away from time, a few steps from the metro and large modern buildings. Rows and rows of windows full of books, new or second-hand. Takako, twenty-five years old and with a rather colorless life, doesn't usually go to that neighborhood. However, it is there that she comes across Morisaki Bookstore, which has been in her family for three generations. A store of barely eight tatami mats in an old wooden building, with a room on the top floor that is used as a store. It is the kingdom of Satoru, Takako's eccentric uncle, who, enthusiastic and a bit deranged, dedicates his life to books. But Takako is the polar opposite of his uncle; he hasn't left home since the man she was in love with told him he wanted to marry someone else. It is Satoru who throws her a lifeline and offers to move her to the first floor of the bookstore. She, who is not a great reader, finds herself living in the midst of crumbling towers of books and clients who do not stop asking her questions and quoting unknown writers. Between increasingly passionate discussions about modern Japanese literature, a meeting in a cafe with a shy stranger and some revelations about Satoru's love story, Takako will gradually discover a way of communicating and relating that starts from books to reach the heart.
