One of the first five Westerners to enter Tutankhamun's tomb was named Güell. One of the Catalans who read before the King of Spain the first memorial of grievances in contemporary Catalonia was called Güell. One of the richest men in Spain during the Second Republic and the Civil War of 1936 was called Güell. Güell was called one of the editors of the Bases de Manresa, Güell was called one of the speakers of the Statute of Sau and one of the deputies of the commission that drafted the Spanish Constitution of 1978. The host of two of the only three political meetings held by General Francisco Franco and Joan de Borbó was called Güell ... The most generous patron of Antoni Gaudí was called Güell. The same one who founded the Güell colony and promoted the garden city of Güell Park. A Güell offered the Palau de Pedralbes to the Spanish Crown. And who hosted Monsignor Cinto Verdaguer at Finca Güell. Guell was said to be two of the main promoters of the universal exhibitions in Barcelona in 1888 and 1929. And among those who encouraged the opening of the Via Laietana to try to make it the financial district of the Catalan capital.
