cartes i contes de la França ocupada

Rodoreda, Mercè

They don't know anything follow three tracks. It begins with the letters written to Carles Riba between 1941 and 1942. Where Rodoreda expresses her longing to see Obiols exposed to the dangers that foreigners faced in France: of being arrested, interned, deported... The writer is a woman who has no scruples when pleads for help for the lover. It continues with three tales about the lives of male refugees in occupied France: the uncertainty and catastrophic fates they faced is the subject of "Moonlight", "Nocturne" and "Night and Fog". It ends with the inquiries that a group of historians have made about papa Otto, Obiols' mirror and who was his superior in the Todt organization, in charge of building the Nazi war infrastructure throughout Europe.
