A young Italian violinist, who makes a living playing at wakes held in a Barcelona funeral parlor, is assassinated by twenty-one bullets inside a coffin. The ritual of the crime and the fact that it was perpetrated by Layla, a legendary hit man who only works for very powerful clients, suggest that something very murky surrounds the life of the musician.
