El usurpador
Horst, Jorn Lier
A man has died in front of the television. It wouldn't be news if it weren't for the fact that, after four months in which nobody missed him, an operator from the electricity company found him almost mummified. Shortly after, another macabre discovery takes place, this time in a forest. Next to a fir tree they find a body half-buried in the snow. He must have been there since the summer, and caught between his fingers is a lock of blond hair. While William Wisting, a detective from the Larvik police force, investigates the second case, his daughter, Lisa Wisting, returns to her hometown for a few days to prepare a report on the first: how can someone like this die in Norway, one of the most prosperous countries in the world? What no one intuits is that the disturbing figure of a usurper will soon emerge from the shadows: a serial killer who, supplanting the identity of some of his victims, has eluded justice for decades. As if that were not enough, the FBI is going to set foot on Norwegian soil to hunt him down and the taciturn William Wisting must collaborate with them, whether he likes it or not.
