Aspiring painter Alden Oakes is invited to join a mysterious art commune in Arkham: the New Colony. When the acclaimed Juan Hugo Balthazarr visits her, Alden and the other artists soon fall under his charismatic spell. Balthazarr throws a series of extravagant parties for Arkham's high society, conjuring arcane illusions that blur the lines between dream and reality. Gradually, Alden begins to suspect that Balthazarr's false rituals are meant to break down those walls and unleash what lies behind them. Alden must act, but it may already be too late to save Arkham...or even himself.
