El tiempo que nos robaron
Huertas Gómez, Rosa
Can those who left too soon join us in solitude? During the long months of confinement, the narrator delves into her memories to escape loneliness and uncertainty. The shadow of Elena, her best friend who died ten years ago, roams the house and seems to read what she writes over her shoulder. The two lived a childhood and adolescence gray and full of norms, stolen, like the time of the confinement. Their parallel lives return to quell fear, remove anger, and reconcile with the past. As he talks to her, life goes on outside of her: spring and friendship slip through the window to overcome the anguish of long days of seclusion.
