Aurélie, the charming cook who runs the restaurant Le Temps des Cerises, in the Saint-Germain district of Paris, and André, a successful publisher and writer, have been a couple for a year. Valentine's Day is approaching, and with it the perfect date for a marriage proposal, but before André can ask the big question, something unexpected happens: Aurélie's small restaurant receives a Michelin star and the young cook cannot contain their joy... for three days. The surprise that seemed to put the icing on the couple's happiness was just the result of a mix-up. And when Aurélie meets the true recipient of the distinction, chef Jean-Marie Marronnier, who not only cooks like the gods but also has a real Monet hanging in his restaurant, things get even more complicated...
