El teatro de los hermanos Seagrave
Quinn, Joanna
Situated on the Dorset coast, Chilcombe is a mansion that has seen better days. The Seagrave children live there, a small tribe led by the intrepid Cristabel, the eldest of the three siblings. Children grow wild, nourished by the most absurd readings, by eavesdropping conversations and by the tedious classes of their governess. The day a whale washes up on the shore near Chilcombe, Cristabel races to claim ownership of it. She, together with Flossie and Digby, will set up a theater in the gigantic frame of the animal, destined to delight the regulars of the house. The years go by and the children's lives are happy, oblivious to what is happening on the continent, where the heat of war is already noticeable. History is knocking at their door, and Cristabel, Flossie and Digby are forced into a role they never imagined. The three brothers will have to find a way to write their own story away from the warmth of home.
