El soldado de porcelana

France, summer of 1944. At the age of nine, Mainou has just lost her mother while giving birth to her little sister. The remorseful father is then forced to send Mainou to Lorraine, with his grandmother, across the demarcation line, hiding in a hay wagon. There, on the family farm, he will try to retain the last breaths of his childhood while reality pushes him to escape: fear, grief, war. Together with that family that he still did not know, and the mysterious events that surround them, the boy trusts his imagination to go through the duel and survive the last months of World War II.
