El secreto Fabergé

Belfoure, Charles

Saint Petersburg, 1903. Prince Dimitri Markhov, a close friend of Tsar Nicholas II, lives surrounded by luxury at the imperial court with his wife. The art-loving Tsar continues the family tradition of collecting Fabergé eggs, which adorn the rooms of the Winter Palace. However, outside the court, the people live a very different reality under the tsarist tyranny, in particular the Jews. When Dimitri meets young Katya Golitsyn, he feels that she is her soul mate. As the bond between them grows, Katya discovers her Jewish ancestry and shares with Dimitri the violent reality of her people. Both decide then to join a conspiracy to establish a constitutional monarchy; Conspiracy in which the Fabergé egg collection will be a central axis, but an oversight could put everything at risk and unleash the fury of the Tsar.
