394 AD. The Goths have once again been betrayed by Rome. Ten thousand of his best warriors lie dead on the banks of the Frígido River, unscrupulously sacrificed as a striking force by the Emperor Theodosius in his fight against the usurper Eugene. The Goths once again become a wandering people that seems doomed to fade into history.
