El saqueo de Roma
Santamaría, Pedro
394 AD. The Goths have once again been betrayed by Rome. Ten thousand of his best warriors lie dead on the banks of the Frígido River, unscrupulously sacrificed as a striking force by the Emperor Theodosius in his fight against the usurper Eugene. The Goths once again become a wandering people that seems doomed to fade into history. It will be a young caudillo, Alaric, who will take the witness of those who preceded him in search of lands in which to settle. A motto comes to life among the Goths: Ad ultionem. "Towards revenge". And sixteen years later, the unimaginable happens: Alaric's barbarians besiege the city of Rome, threatening to plunder and destroy it. The Empire is crumbling.
