El saber proscrito

Miller, Alice

Proscribed knowledge reveals to us the root of many of our ills originating during childhood and, in particular, analyzes the teachings we received at such an early age. In effect, adults "suffocate" the child's knowledge of the world very quickly, in order to impose, in turn, the education transmitted by other adults. The famous psychoanalyst Alice Miller proposes here a way to prevent and cure this evil because, mutilated in this way, the child has difficulty "naturally" reaching maturity. Furthermore, the obstacles to the development of her knowledge lead her to believe that life is made up of walls and barbed wire and, as an adult, to hide behind an accumulation of prejudices. Miller explains how we can recover that "outlawed knowledge" that is still alive, although repressed in each of us.
