El rock de la calle Feria
Gallardo, Francisco
El Rock de la calle Feria is a travel novel, an initiation into life. A Sevillian "On the road" in which a group of young people lives a time in which everything or almost everything was released. Throughout the year 1978 important changes take place in Seville and in Spain that affect the lives of the protagonists according to the idiosyncrasies of each one. A trip to Amsterdam to attend a Bob Marley concert is the central axis of this fiction written from generational memory. And hand in hand with her, the exultant street atmosphere of those times returns. To the Seville of bars and rock concerts, to the language of the time as unorthodox as the length of the hair or the way of dressing. To the books that marked some forever, from Hopscotch to the verses of José Agustín Goytisolo. And in the background, the soundtrack of an entire generation, the music of the Sevillian group Triana. But above all, El Rock de la calle Feria tells a difficult love story, between Lola and Camus, Camus and Lola, told with tenderness, humor and irony.
